Hair dye is a fun way to change your look and style or to maintain your look as age starts to set in. We love helping our clients look and feel their best. Hair dye is an easy and relatively fast way to help you feel new and fresh. There are several options when it comes to hair dye. You can choose to do a permanent or semi-permanent hair dye. You can also choose to go with the bolder option of bleach. All these options have their different pros and cons. To help you make the best choice for you, we will talk about the differences of each.

Your Hair Dye Options

  • Permanent Hair Dye – Permanent hair dye lasts longer than semi-permanent. This is helpful for clients who know they want their hair color to remain for a longer period of time. The only downside is that the hair dye is stronger and needs to stay on your hair longer. This can cause some damage, but with proper technique and care, your hair will still feel and look beautiful.
  • Semi-Permanent Hair Dye – This type of hair dye is temporary and starts to fade after about 6 weeks. Semi-permanent hair dye cannot be used to lighten your hair because there is no bleach in the product. This is a great option if you aren’t sure you want to keep the new color, you like to change the color of your hair often, or you know you will be back in the salon in a month or two anyway.
  • Bleach – Bleach can be used to lighten your entire head of hair or for highlights. Both have their purposes and can be made to look stunning.
